A central, recurring element in Barbara Kapusta’s (*1983) practice is the conjunction of the body with materiality and speech. Materiality becomes entrusted with a queer agency that allows for diversity and vulnerability. She currently lives and works in Vienna. Her recent immersive 3- channel video installation The Leaking Bodies was produced in 2020.

The work of Vienna-based producer Rana Farahani, aka Fauna, manifests itself locally in the radical potential of art and music. Farahani’s sounds and lyrics are influenced by personal and political events, while her music takes a position and places social clichés into avant-garde beats and rap, hip hop and bass music-inspired tracks. Fauna’s third studio album, Synchronia, came out in November 2020. Barbara Kapusta and Rana Farahani have been collaborating since 2018 producing a universe of dystopic sound and text. They have worked together on the soundtrack to Barbara Kapustas video installations Empathic Creatures (2018), Dangerous Bodies (2019) and The Leaking Bodies (2020). https://fauna2020.bandcamp.com/album/syncronia
