Wandmalerei, 2022/23

There is a similar irritating element in larger form in the work to the right of sink. For Wandmalerei (Wall Painting) (2022÷23), several black rectangles werepainted directly onto the wall. These are less a constructivist or minimalist form of painting as is inherent to the codes of twentieth-century art, and more a scheme that has already been presented in another work in the exhibition. The arrangement of these rectangles corresponds to the structure of the images on the cover of The New York Times, reproducing that scheme here on the wall. When viewing this wall painting, the aspect of the painterly cannot be completely ignored, and the form, although is a fully prefound scheme, nonetheless resembles a painting in the context of an exhibition.
